BELIEF #2 – THE IMPORTANCE OF DEVELOPING A PERSONAL CONNECTION
I strongly believe in the importance of developing a personal connection with my clients. It’s not just about addressing the immediate injury, but getting to know them, their background, and their aspirations. This relationship-building is key, as trust and understanding form the foundation for effective rehabilitation. It’s more of a partnership, where I offer professional advice, but also listen and adapt to the client's concerns and goals.
BELIEF #3 – COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH BEYOND TREATING THE INJURY SITE
I advocate for a comprehensive approach that goes beyond just treating the injury site. This involves looking at the body as a whole and understanding how different parts interact and affect each other. For example, a knee injury might be related to issues in the hip or ankle. Addressing these interconnected areas is crucial for a full and sustainable recovery.
BELIEF #4 – EMPHASIZING INJURY PREVENTION
Preventing injuries is as important as treating them. In my practice, we focus not just on healing the current injury but also on identifying and correcting underlying issues that could lead to future injuries. This includes improving mobility, strength, and stability, thereby empowering clients to engage in their sports and activities with reduced risk.
BELIEF #5 – EMPOWERING CLIENTS TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL
Lastly, I believe in empowering my clients to reach their full potential, whether they are professional athletes or weekend warriors. This involves tailoring rehabilitation and fitness programs to their specific needs and goals. It’s about helping them become stronger, faster, and more powerful than they were before, unleashing their true health and athletic potential.
